Tanks’ construction technologies
The uniqueness of the spiral method lies in reveres order of tank constructing, it means that the roof is assembled on the floor. Between floor and roof the rings forming two halves of thread. The hydraulic jacks are installed between these rings synchronously lifting and moving top part of tank along the thread line.
Tank’s shell is created by hoisting subsequent plates and welding them to the top part. The process is like production line equipped with four stationary welding stations. The shell independently to its size is erected by team of 6-7 workers. As the works at heights are significantly reduced, there is no need for heavy cranes and working stations are ergonomically displaced the spiral method creates extraordinary safe work environment.
After roof is assembled all other works requires the small wheeled lift only. Another important advantage of spiral method is the independence from weather conditions, so strong wind or rain/snow fall do not stop works.
On the top of above the spiral method allows to build tanks’ shells in a very short time.
The lifting method is similar the spiral, we are starting with roof assembly too. The set of actuators and driving rollers are used to lift and rotate top part of tank, so the welding is made in stationary workplace. Unlike the spiral method lifting is not continuous but as the separate cycle with range of plate width.
